We knew Giannis Goranitis as a remarkable journalist of investigative journalism from the Inside story platform. When we discussed the proposal of Amanta Michalopoulou to be our guest this year at the creative writing seminar, none of us was surprised. The first contact with him made things even easier. Giannis told us about the boutique publishing house Viografi.es and about the content of a (biography) writing seminar. The idea excited him, the program was drawn up, the entries were announced.

After a period of covid-angst due to the long lasting pandemic, in the summer we were lucky and with all the measures and precautions, we did the seminar, which in addition to the high quality time it offered to the participants, was also productive. , with rich and interesting texts.

Giannis Goranitis is a journalist and writer. He is the co-founder and Chief Ghostwriter of Boutique Publishing House Viografi.es. He has worked in dozens of media outlets as an editor, editor-in-chief and director. Today he works as a Tech & Science Editor at InsideStory.gr and PencilontheMoon.gr, while writing in print and electronic media (Lifo, Startupper (Vima), Madame Figaro etc.).

His first book, the collection of short stories "24" is published by Patakis. In 2018 he was awarded as "Best Newcomer to Prose" by the magazine "O Anagnostis" and was shortlisted for the "Menis Koumandareas" award of the Society of Greek Writers. Numerous of his short stories have been published in literary magazines and websites, have been included in collective volumes and anthologies, and have been awarded in prose competitions.
