Biodiversity and Mutual Understanding

A big team of different, alert, creative ordinary people, 55 in total with 19 children and youths included, crossed the Vikos Gorge – the deepest in the world according to the Guinness World Record, with a depth of 900 meters and a width of 1.100 meters.

The Vikos gorge in Northern Pindos consists of a unique biodiversity place where the multiple species and the singing of the birds is an evolving reality, similar to and model for the one of mankind.

The speakers names were Michalis Modinos, author – environmentalist, Charilaos Charakas, from the Greek Philosophy Company, Nikolas Raisis from Archelon, Peter Heilmann, Head of Eurocharity, Maria Mila from European Expression.

The diplomas of successful crossing were awarded after a moonlight poetry evening where the local Krano (kind of cramberry) liquor was served.
