You are kindly invited for the 12th consecutive year of walking and talking activities organised by epekeina hora - The land beyond to participate in Vikos crossing 12 - 17 August 2022 to tackle with the always present and under renewed momentum topic of nation and nationalism.
Driven by the commemoration of the 100 years of the disastrous Greek war in Asia Minor, as well as the recent war in Ukraine and the always present Cyprus question we bring together Greeks, Greek Cypriots, Turks Cypriots as well as Greeks of the Diaspora, to discuss on the subtle line between patriotism and nationalism, on national identity under current historical circumstances as an element uniting different persons or differentiated warlikers and as an identity, conflicting or supplementary to supranational ones like Europeanism or humanity - global federalism.
